Emerging Artists Showcase

A lot of ‘Karma’ handed out last night…

I gave out a lot of good karma, aka free sketches with various landscape motifs, last night at the Emerging Artists Showcase. By the end of the night, my little sketchbook was barren of pages, which is a great problem to have. I hope everyone enjoys their gift of vast karma resources, and feel free to submit some pics of my karma sketches in your home, on your fridge perhaps, so I can post them, here on my website. Direct them to chris@eastofegan.com, and thanks for coming last night to the Emerging Artists Showcase!

Emerging Artists Showcase Pics

For those of you who missed the Emerging Artists Showcase at Rug &  Relic last night, here’s a few pics for all of you to see. If you were one of the many hundreds there last night, and you saw something you wished you would’ve taken home, be sure to let me know at chris@eastofegan.com.

A big thanks goes to everyone at Rug & Relic, they really know how to throw and host a great party, and they’re a pleasure to work with!

The Emerging Artists Showcase is a semi-annual event, hosted by Rug & Relic, and the next one is scheduled for this fall. It’s a growing event, with the hopes of adding more juried artists in the coming years, and with crowds in the several hundreds, it can only continue to be success. What a cool thing to be part of, I can’t wait till the next one, I’ll look forward to seeing you all again.

Emerging Artists Tonight…

Come join me, and see some great art from 13 other artists, all of which will surprise you. Really, what else do you have to do, but come to the Emerging Artists Showcase, at Rug & Relic, located at 8th and RR Center, Sioux Falls, 5-9pm.

This is part of the much larger Trolley Arts Tour in downtown, so a lot to see and do tonight in Sioux Falls, make the trip, change your life, gain vast karma reserves, or at least some great original art from local artists!

Sketchbook in hand, will travel…

Looks like I have a brand new sketchbook, and two new fine-point sharpies, so back to work I go. I’ll be bringing along this new pal, let’s call him ‘karma’ to the Emerging Artists Showcase at Rug & Relic in Sioux Falls on Friday, March 5th, from 5-9pm. I’ve been known to give out a few quick sketches, so be sure to mention this fine blog/website, eastofegan.com, and you’ll process a little bit of karma by the end of the night, or at least an original sketch or two.

I’ll be working on this new body of work I’ve been developing within the crisp white pages of karma, so if your interested in this latest direction, don’t be afraid to ask. I’m always open for show & tell, as so far as sketchbooks anyhow, so make way to Rug & Relic and the Emerging Artists Showcase on Friday. I’m really pushing this fine event quite a bit it seems, which is featuring 13 regional artists bunched together, from sculpture to painting and beyond, so you should spread the word as well. See you there!

Limited-time offer for Emerging Artists…

Here’s a deal for all of you, but you have to come to the Emerging Artists Showcase at Rug & Relic on Friday from 5-9pm, in Sioux Falls to take part.

Original framed 5×7′s from ‘Remnants and Remains’, which are usually a modest $60, will be sold for $50, that’s a savings of $10 for you. How’s that for karma?

Don’ t miss your opportunity to gain all sorts of karma, otherwise known as paintings, for your home! Look forward to seeing you all there!

Karma for Everyone…

Artist survive via day-jobs, or more so the night-shift, we usually tend not to be day-type people. Have you not seen us, the typical radical artist, we don’t tend to shave, and often we lack all sense, as so far as responsibility. Anyhow, I’ve realized the possession of fine art within one’s home generates great and lasting karma, our home is filled with art, and thus we seem to have significant and vast karma resources. I’m not about to say that the possession of karma is related to the quantity of art within one’s home, but the quality of said art, may be a real determining factor.

I would suggest securing as much positive quality art as one can, in uncertain times such as these one can never be too safe, so I have a route for all of you to take. First, visit the Emerging Artists Showcase in Sioux Falls at Rug & Relic on Friday, March 5th, from 5-9pm. Once there, say karma, karma, karma, and then spin around once, these are very specific directions, don’t mess with karma. Next, make way to said showcase and secure as much art, I mean karma, as you can reasonably afford, and presto, great and lasting karma for you and your significant others.

This is all an effort to invite you to the Emerging Artists Showcase, I really can’t sell you great and lasting karma afterall, but just maybe, you can leave with a new little friend, a great piece of locally produced original art. You even have the chance to meet the artists behind the work, and see a few of us pretending to work for all of 4 hours.  Besides, artists don’t get out much, and it’s at night, so we are in our element here.

Emerging Artists Showcase

I’ll be headed towards Sioux Falls on Friday, March 5th, for the Emerging Artists Showcase, hosted by Rug & Relic, as part of the Trolley Arts Tour. There will be quite a few stops for this tour, and I believe it may be the first one of the year. Anyhow, I’ll be bringing some of my recent favorites, and essentially the best of ‘Remnants & Remains’, for all of you to see and take home! This is a really great opportunity to catch-up with the freshest and best of the local arts scene, so don’t miss out. The artists reception for the one night showcase is from 5-9pm at Rug & Relic, which is located at 8th & Railroad Center in downtown Sioux Falls.
