III – ‘The Burning’
III.
Anyway, back to ending this tale. I went on back up there a few weeks ago, mangled a few fences along the way, figured it best to go on and get over with it all, so I burned that damned thing right where Uncle Jones had left it first. If anyone ever asks around, I don’t know nothin’ about the whole thing, so go on with your own business, and keep on out of this here one, you good for nothings.
You just did what?
Yes, that is the actual airplane going up in flames, and it sure was a great way to close out this journey. I was able to burn the craft in my father’s pasture, just a few hundred feet from where the old barn once stood, which is what it was constructed directly from. Not to worry, I was able to save a few pieces the next day after the flames died out, so if you’d be interested in a relic from ’Ezekiel Jones’, let me know. I think there might just be a little more to this tale, so just maybe we’ll have to see…
